“There are heroes. There are superheroes. And then there’s… Hancock.”

I actually wasn’t enthused about seeing this one. From the preview it looked a little too on the stupid side for my tastes, but I’m happy to say, I was wrong about Hancock. It was actually really funny and well done with a pretty cool plot twist thrown in that we didn’t see coming. Hancock [Will Smith] is about a reluctant super-hero who drinks too much and is unappreciated by the public… until he saves the life of an idealistic Public Relations guy named Ray [Jason Bateman] who wants to return the favor and help him spruce up his public image. He comes up with a cunning plan and asks Hancock to trust him on it. As part of said plan, Hancock goes to jail, and sits through anger management group therapy sessions, and eventually realizes he’s not alone… and the people actually do need him… but is it enough to keep him going in the right direction?
